Sunbelt Rentals is in need of the temporary assistance of a HR Leave Analyst. In this position you will oversee and administer leave requests and accommodations requiring specialized attention, particularly those arising under the Family and Medical Leave Act (FMLA), the Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA), state and local leave laws, and short-term or long-term disability plans. The HR Leave Analyst develops rules, guidelines, reports/audits, training modules and procedures to ensure compliance with federal, state, and local leave laws. Position Responsibilities

Manages the FMLA leave administration process from the employee’s initial notice of the need for leave through return to work. Communicates and coordinates with employees throughout the process: initial need for leave, responsibilities, documentation, notice required to qualify for leave, and necessary actions to facilitate smooth and timely return to work, including accommodations. Collaborates with HR and managers to designate leaves and determine if requests should be approved based on eligibility and other requirements. Manages collection of documentation, determines leave eligibility, distributes leave paperwork, identifies FMLA-qualifying leaves, requests medical certification as needed, and monitors intermittent/reduced schedule leave use. Advises managers and employees on the interaction of leave laws with paid time off, short-term and long-term disability benefits. Facilitates communication between employees and managers during leave in compliance with applicable laws. Oversees the return-to-work process for employees after extended FMLA, military leave, or other leave. Manages other leave requests including accommodations or intermittent leave under the ADA. Coordinates with disability providers to ensure proper administration of disability claims. Educates and informs key stakeholders regarding change management, training, and communications. Supports strategic efforts such as automation, acquisitions, and technology solutioning from ideation through management. Identifies trends and makes recommendations for continuous process improvements and provides critical thinking on absence management processes. Supports the Leave Administration Manager by guiding LOA Specialists. Drafts or recommends revisions to company leave policies to ensure compliance with relevant laws. Maintains complete and accurate records of leave and accommodation requests and preserves confidentiality of medical documentation. Maintains knowledge of applicable leave laws including FMLA, ADA, and state/local laws; interprets these laws and EEO policies in absence management contexts. Develops LOA trainings for LOA Specialists and Field Management. Ensures timely tracking of leave information in systems such as Absentys (Leavelink) and Workday. Collects and analyzes HR metrics from multiple sources and prepares dashboard reports; participates in year-end activities. Coordinates with Leave Manager and other leaders to support other priorities as assigned. Requirements

Education & Experience Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent experience plus 2-3 years of administering leave of absence or related experience. Extensive knowledge of FMLA, ADA, and other applicable leave laws. Ability to process multiple requests and stay highly organized. Strong follow-through and ability to resolve issues in a fast-paced environment. Effective communication and high level of service across all levels of the organization. Excellent verbal and written communication skills. Maintain highly confidential employee health information and ensure HIPAA compliance. Experience with Workday preferred. Physical Demands Must be able to bend, squat, crouch, reach, and lift up to 25 pounds or more as required.
