Vaco Boston has partnered with our client to help fill an Accounts Receivable Specialist role. Responsibilities

Process and record accounts payable invoices and ensure timely payments to vendors.

Generate and send customer invoices; follow up on outstanding receivables to ensure timely collection.

Reconcile vendor statements and resolve discrepancies or payment issues.

Maintain accurate and up-to-date financial records in the accounting system (e.g., QuickBooks, SAP, Oracle).

Perform regular aging analysis for both AP and AR and report findings to management.

Assist with month-end and year-end closing procedures, including journal entries and account reconciliations.

Communicate effectively with vendors, clients, and internal departments to resolve billing or payment issues.

Ensure compliance with internal controls and accounting policies.

Support audits by providing necessary documentation related to payables and receivables.

Contribute to process improvements for greater efficiency and accuracy in accounting workflows.

Requirements and skills

Bachelor’s Degree in Finance, Accounting, or Business Administration. Excellent oral and written English communication skills. Basic knowledge of accounting software. High degree of accuracy and attention to detail. Strong team player capabilities. Ability to work independently and effectively ask questions. Customer service orientation. With that said, as required by local law in geographies that require salary range disclosure, Vaco/Highspring notes the salary range for the role is noted in this job posting. The individual may also be eligible for discretionary bonuses, and can participate in medical, dental, and vision benefits as well as the company’s 401(k) retirement plan.
