Overview
We are seeking a detail-oriented and experienced Accounting Manager. The ideal candidate will possess a strong understanding of accounting principles and practices, with a proven track record in account reconciliation and general ledger accounting. This role requires proficiency in accounting software, and a solid grasp of GAAP (Generally Accepted Accounting Principles). As a Senior Accountant, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the accuracy of financial reporting and compliance with regulatory standards.
Duties
Prepare and maintain accurate financial statements in accordance with GAAP.
Perform account reconciliations to ensure the integrity of financial data.
Manage accounts payable processes, including invoice processing and payment approvals.
Oversee general ledger accounting activities, ensuring all transactions are recorded accurately.
Collaborate with external auditors during audits and provide necessary documentation.
Analyze financial data to identify trends, variances, and opportunities for improvement.
Assist in the preparation of budgets and forecasts based on financial data.
Human Resource Responsibilities
Manage payroll. Complete and file OSHA and other federally required human resources reports. Manage employee files and records. Manage and administer benefits package and benefit vendor relationships. Requirements Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance. Minimum of 5 years of experience in accounting or public accounting. Strong knowledge of financial concepts and principles, including debits and credits. Experience with account reconciliation processes and general ledger maintenance. Excellent analytical skills with attention to detail and accuracy. Strong communication skills, both written and verbal, to effectively convey financial information. Ability to work independently as well as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
