Sr. Financial Analyst

Ad-hoc financial analyses, including proformas, long-term plans, and other requests assigned. Evaluation of capital requests to understand ROI as well as service line analytics. Annual budget preparation and monthly reconciliation. Day-to-day financial support, including accounts payable, payroll, and general financial support to leaders and staff. Entity financial analyses, including month-end financial review and reconciliation. Act as liaison between Howard University Hospital (HUH), Howard University (HU), and Financial Planning & Analysis (FPP). Assumes other duties and responsibilities that are related and appropriate to the position. The above responsibilities are a general description and are not all-inclusive. Competencies Required
Ability to perform highly technical financial analysis. Working knowledge of acute care hospital operations. Advanced skills in Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint, Word, and other MS Office products. Experience managing and completing the annual budgeting process, including volume, revenue, and expenses. Ability to work independently and productively in a fast-paced environment. Accountability in producing high-quality and timely work products. Strong communication, interpersonal, and relationship management skills. Must have a strong working knowledge of GAAP (Generally Accepted Accounting Principles and Standards). Ability to plan and coordinate projects from start to finish, set and meet objectives, budgets, and deadlines. Maintain levels of confidentiality with sensitive information. Minimum Requirements
Bachelor's degree in business, Finance, or Healthcare Administration from an accredited college or university required. MBA or Master’s degree preferred. Three (3) to five (5) years’ work experience in financial management or decision support within an acute care facility. CPA preferred. Benefits and Work Details
