Job Description
Conf call notes Prepare invoices that will go to LIPA Track individual invoices and provide evidence of payment Possibility of being converted to a project employee Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance 5 years of financial experience Experience with SAP is a plus Reporting to the Manager of Planning and Budgeting, this position is responsible for providing accurate and timely monthly detailed reports of costs incurred and paid for services and outside contractors on 320 FEMA-funded electrical storm-hardening projects. The role involves close collaboration with Plant Accounting, Payroll, Operations, Project Management, and Planning. Responsibilities include ensuring contractors have systems to provide detailed invoices to LIPA, including detailed timesheet reporting, and that vendor billing is timely, accurate, and FEMA-compliant. The role involves obtaining financial data from the SAP system, developing detailed schedules by cost type, gathering backup documentation for all costs, and preparing clear reports/invoices for submission to LIPA. Qualifications
Minimum Education Requirements: Bachelor's Degree or equivalent in Accounting or Finance At least five (5) years of financial analysis or general accounting experience Knowledge of accounting, budgeting, financial practices, and regulatory compliance Ability to analyze large data sets Experience with SAP and FEMA reporting is a plus Advanced skills in Excel, MS Word, and automated accounting software Excellent communication skills, capable of interacting with staff, managers, and executives Additional Information
