Business/Accounting Manager – Spokane, WA Family-owned Morgan Murphy Media is seeking a
Business/Accounting Manager
for an opportunity to join our team of accounting professionals. Our portfolio includes Washington-based Television, Radio Stations and digital media distribution platforms. You will grow your career and contribute to our financial operations while working in a fast-paced and growing industry. We are looking for an accounting professional who has proven success in a financial position, exceptional communication skills, and innovative ideas to create internal efficiencies.
Responsibilities
General:
Manage a variety of accounting/business tasks including accounts receivable/payable, property taxes, state taxes, fixed assets, insurance, contract maintenance, payroll and commissions, and related duties. General Ledger/Closing:
Prepare journal entries, reconcile accounts in accordance with GAAP, research variances, and provide analysis. Supervision:
Supervise and direct personnel involved in the accounting cycle. Support three Washington market managers and their department heads with daily operations. Reporting:
Assist in the preparation and distribution of monthly financial statements, quarterly forecasts and reviews, and the annual budget. Audit:
Assist with the annual financial audit and other audits during the year. Other:
Perform other duties and special projects as assigned by the CAO and CFO; participate in strategic business decision making with analysis and management reports for Company Executives.
Skills/Experience
Accounting degree and proficient GAAP knowledge Minimum of three years of experience with financial statement preparation Background in supervision of office and accounting personnel Microsoft Office expertise, including Excel and Word Desire to learn new software such as MMM business systems Strong attention to detail, ability to multi-task, and effective communication skills
Salary and Benefits
Pay range:
$90K - $100K
depending on experience Benefits include medical, dental, vision, prescription, life insurance, Employee Assistance Program, long-term disability, flexible spending account, 401(k), health savings account, employee referral program, and paid time off including 40 hours of vacation after 6 months, 80 hours of vacation on one-year anniversary, 80 hours of paid sick time per calendar year, 2 personal days, and 9 paid holidays.
