Tapestry Solutions, a part of Boeing Global Services BGS, is seeking a

Software Test and Evaluation Engineer

in Hazelwood, MO for the Department of Navy Tomahawk Land-Attack Missile program. The Tomahawk program is expanding to include additional US and foreign customers and will remain relevant for many more years. This position is essential for helping Tapestry Solutions and our customers navigate this expansion.

Responsibilities

Designs, develops, builds, and tests procedures to support TPS software and TMPC software system development

Conducts testing to support TPS software and TMPC software system development

Collaborates with software engineers to gather and analyze customer and stakeholder requirements to develop test computing environment plans

Maintains, administers, and supports basic integrated electronic/computing systems, databases, and software for products in support of the verification and validation

Develops and executes Formal Qualification Test Procedures (FQT) and Information Assessment Vulnerability Alert (IAVA) testing

Supports Software Engineers in conducting Unit Test Step development and Unit Testing

Supports Documentation and Training development

Works under general direction

Basic Qualifications (Required Skills/Experience)

Active U.S. Secret Clearance

Proven experience in manual software testing, including test case creation, execution, and defect reporting

Familiarity with various SDLC models and testing methodologies

Ability to develop detailed test plans, test cases, and test scripts

Strong analytical skills to identify issues and inconsistencies

Excellent verbal and written communication skills to collaborate with developers, product managers, and other stakeholders

Ability to analyze and understand software requirements and specifications

Ability to troubleshoot issues and work with the development team to resolve defects

Experience working in different test environments and an understanding of configuration management

Ability to manage multiple tasks and prioritize testing activities effectively

Preferred Qualifications (Desired Skills/Experience)

Security+ Certification

Basic knowledge of databases with the ability to write and execute simple SQL queries to validate data

Automation testing experience with knowledge of automation testing tools (e.g., Selenium) is a plus

Experience working in Agile/Scrum environments

Understanding of scripting or programming languages (e.g., Python, Java) is beneficial

Familiarity with security testing principles and practices

The specific programs and options available depend on location and date of hire. Pay is based on candidate experience, qualifications, and market considerations.
