Overview
Applications for a postdoctoral position in Physical Oceanography at Caltech are invited. The successful candidate will work with Jörn Callies and Dimitris Menemenlis on a joint Caltech–JPL project investigating the large-scale impacts of submesoscale turbulence in the upper ocean. We are particularly interested in candidates with experience in submesoscale dynamics, ocean modeling, or both, but exceptional candidates without such experience will be considered as well. A Ph.D. is required upon appointment. The expected start date is 15 November 2018.
Qualifications
Ph.D. required upon appointment.
Experience in submesoscale dynamics, ocean modeling, or both preferred.
Exceptional candidates without such experience will be considered.
Responsibilities Collaborate on a joint Caltech–JPL project to investigate the large-scale impacts of submesoscale turbulence in the upper ocean.
