Assistant/Associate Professor of Pharmacy Practice
Summary The Assistant/Associate Professor of Pharmacy Practice provides didactic and/or clinical instruction to Doctoral Pharmacy students. This faculty member is also expected to assist in the professional and spiritual growth of students. Responsibilities include engaging in research and scholarly activity, participating in university committees, and serving as a faculty advisor, all as assigned by the chair and approved by the dean. Essential Functions: Provides didactic and/or clinical instruction within assigned courses. Maintains an active clinical practice aligned with area of specialty. Integrates faith and professional values into instructional activities where applicable. Serves as an advisor to PharmD students as assigned. Conducts research and scholarly activity, aiming for publication or peer-reviewed presentation. Participates actively in professional organizations related to the discipline. Serves as a role model of professional and servant leadership behavior. Serves on task forces and committees as assigned. Attends faculty meetings, development programs, and other school functions. Performs other duties in service to the school or university as assigned. Represents the school at various functions. Assists with faculty recruitment and student applicant interviews. Qualifications
Education: PharmD Experience: Pharmacy residency training or Ph.D. in a discipline within Pharmacy Practice/Social Administrative Sciences. Ability to engage in research and scholarly activity. Comprehensive knowledge of pharmacy practice in a specific discipline. Strong organizational skills and attention to detail. Collaborative and compassionate approach. Effective planning, goal setting, and progress tracking. Evidence of Christian faith and ability to integrate it into activities. Sound clinical judgment and rational therapeutic decision-making. Actions aligned with the mission, vision, goals, and core values of the university and school. Effective communication skills and approachable demeanor.
