Job Title: CNC Programmer
Location: Saxonburg, PA
Type: Direct Hire
Compensation: $68640 annually
Contractor Work Model: Onsite
Hours: 1st Shift
Objective Seeking a skilled CNC Programmer to develop machining programs, design fixtures, and optimize manufacturing processes for precision components. This role encompasses program creation, production planning, and cost estimation while ensuring manufacturing efficiency and delivery schedules are maintained through innovative problem-solving approaches.
Responsibilities
Create and modify CNC machining programs utilizing Mastercam software to achieve customer specifications
Design and construct fixturing systems while recommending optimal tooling solutions for maximum productivity
Develop machining strategies including operation sequencing, tool path optimization, and processing parameters
Produce CAD models and technical drawings for manufacturing documentation
Analyze solid models to support accurate project quotations
Collaborate with Project Management on RFQ responses, material specifications, and bill of materials development
Assess customer designs and specifications to generate cost estimates based on material selection and manufacturing methods
Coordinate with Purchasing department to identify and procure necessary materials and tooling
Execute production runs on CNC equipment to meet critical project timelines
Provide technical guidance and training support to machine operators
Partner with Machining and Quality teams to identify process enhancement opportunities
Implement design modifications driven by customer requirements and performance improvements
Monitor output quality and develop strategies to reduce cycle times and manufacturing risks
Maintain compliance with established health and safety protocols
Qualifications Technical Qualifications:
Minimum 5 years CNC programming experience using Mastercam, Gibbs, or equivalent software in precision machining environments
Demonstrated capability in learning specialized programming platforms
Journeyperson machining certification preferred, or minimum 5 years skilled machining experience
Independent CNC machine setup and operation expertise
Advanced blueprint interpretation skills including GD&T tolerancing systems
Comprehensive knowledge of G-code and M-code programming languages
Experience with ERP systems, particularly Made To Manage (M2M) preferred
Background in cost estimation and project quoting preferred
Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications
Physical and Environmental Requirements:
Capability to lift and transport materials up to 50 pounds
Tolerance for manufacturing environment conditions including temperature variations and noise levels
Manual dexterity for handling tools and equipment
Physical activities including walking, sitting, reaching, bending, and kneeling
Availability for extended hours and up to 10 hours weekly overtime as required
Willingness to work non-standard shifts when necessary
Ability to pass periodic substance screening requirements
