Your Title: Network Engineer Job Location: Dayton, OH-Onsite Our Department: Corporate Networking Do you have what it takes to join Trimble's global networking team? Are you ready to help with the design, implementation, and operation of a company's worldwide communications, from local to wide area networks and voice systems? What You Will Do
Be the expert responsible for the entire lifecycle of our networked systems; from planning and designing to implementing new solutions. Troubleshoot and maintain both internal and vendor network connections; configure routers, switches, firewalls and wireless access points; coordinate with vendors to install essential circuits like DIA and MPLS; participate in project planning, cost analysis, and vendor comparisons. Operate, support, and resolve incidents to maintain network availability. Work with a team to design, implement and support Trimble's network infrastructure at its datacenters and global sites. Architect and design LAN/WAN solutions for a designated geographic region. Develop and maintain standard configurations, procedures and guidelines for installing and operating voice and data services. Participate in capacity planning and technology reviews with the Network Infrastructure team. Interface with ISPs and carriers to install, commission and test new WAN/Internet circuits at remote sites; coordinate with vendors to identify hardware and software requirements to meet business needs. Design, manage and maintain wireless networks. What Skills & Experience You Should Bring
BS or BA degree in Computer Science, IT, Engineering, or equivalent education, training or work experience. Proven competence in the development, implementation and maintenance of complex network systems with 5 to 7 years’ experience in a networking enterprise environment. Experience with global enterprise networks is preferred. Cisco certifications - CCNP or CCIE; CCIE is preferred. Network Expertise: hands-on experience designing, implementing, and troubleshooting LAN, WAN, and VPN solutions, including strong knowledge of BGP and OSPF. Essential Skills: proven experience with Cisco and Arista switches and routers, and wireless network administration; expertise in network monitoring (e.g., SolarWinds) and troubleshooting with tools like Wireshark. 1+ years of experience in network automation using Python / Go Programming, Infrastructure as Code, Ansible. Experience implementing and supporting cloud infrastructure in AWS and/or Azure. Occasional on-call duties. Occasional travel. About Your Location

Trimble provides a compensation range and description of other compensation and benefits it might pay and/or offer for this position. This range is based on a full-time schedule and Trimble reserves the right to pay more or less than the posted range depending on circumstances.
