The Sr. Legacy Engineer will play a critical role in maintaining and modernizing legacy systems built in Java while supporting the transition to newer technologies. hybrid schedule ( 3 days on site) in Cary, NC. Responsibilities of the Sr. Legacy Engineer include: Maintain and enhance legacy Java applications critical to business operations Collaborate with architecture and development teams to support modernization efforts Design and implement RESTful APIs to integrate legacy systems with modern platforms Optimize SQL queries and database interactions for performance and reliability Qualifications for the Sr. Legacy Engineer include: 7+ years of professional experience in software engineering Strong proficiency in Java, including legacy versions Hands-on experience with Spring and Spring Boot frameworks Expertise in designing and consuming REST APIs Compensation for the Sr. Legacy Engineer includes: $120,000 – $140,000 annually with a comprehensive benefit : Medical, Dental, Vison, 401k, PTO, holidays, sick leave as required by law Hybrid work environment – 3 days on-site This job opens for applications on 10/6/2025.
