Job Summary:
In this role, you will plan, develop, design, coordinate, and review architectural work on large projects with unique requirements. You will prepare discipline estimates and work plans, review and approve design documents, interpret regulations, and assist with performance reporting. Your recommendations for resolving complex issues will help ensure client satisfaction with a project’s architectural aspects. This role is at the Knoxville Execution Center and will support projects within the Nuclear, Security and Environmental global business unit of Bechtel. Major Responsibilities:
Plans, schedules, conducts, or coordinates detailed phases of the architectural work for a small size project or assignment in support of a global business unit or staff group to include the preparation of original designs/layouts, details, drawings and specifications Develops and interprets design criteria and specifications for complex architectural infrastructure. Analyzes problems with conflicting design requirements, sketches ideas and possible solutions Reviews bid analyses and makes recommendations When delegated, provides guidance to other architectural personnel for specific tasks or project-subgroups Reviews and checks work of others as assigned Education and Experience Requirements:
Requires a bachelor's degree (or international equivalent) and 8-10 years of relevant experience or 12-14 years of relevant work experience Required Knowledge and Skills:
Knowledge of the components and organization of a design package (specifications, plans, elevations, sections, details, enlarged plans, etc.) Prior experience with CAD system (e.g. AutoCad, Revit, Microstation, etc.) Prior experience with general knowledge on code evaluations Registered Architect (or ability to obtain in 6 months) For decades, Bechtel has worked to inspire the next generation of employees and beyond!
