Description
The University of Alabama at Birmingham (UAB) is seeking a
COUNSELOR STUDENT II
to advise and counsel students in the CCAMPIS program. Working under minimal supervision, the counselor provides guidance on course selection, prerequisites, career planning, and higher education opportunities. They also offer counseling services related to academics and student life, make referrals to appropriate agencies, and collect assessment data. Additional responsibilities include supporting student recruitment and retention, serving on committees, maintaining confidentiality, and providing orientation and outreach services to prospective students from junior colleges. The role may involve coordinating support services, preparing reports, assisting with departmental publications, and potentially acting in a supervisory capacity. Salary : $43,890 - $45,000 annually Qualifications Bachelor's degree in Counseling, Education, or a related field is required, along with four (4) years of relevant experience. Work experience cannot substitute for educational requirements. Primary Location
