The University of Florida Department of Medicine, Division of Gastroenterology, Hepatology and Nutrition invites applicants for a full-time, Tenure/Non-Tenure track, Assistant/Associate/Full Professor position in General Gastroenterology and/or a GI Subspecialty. Rank and tenure status will be commensurate with qualifications. Location: Main Campus (Gainesville, FL). Work type: Multi-Track Faculty. Department: 29051400 - MD-GASTROENTEROLOGY. Position is in UF Health, the Southeast's most comprehensive academic health center. Responsibilities
Board eligible or board certified in Gastroenterology. Clinical duties include weekly outpatient clinics, endoscopy, and staffing of the GI inpatient and consult services at UF Health Shands Hospitals. Contribute to the regional referral center with state-of-the-art endoscopy labs (therapeutic ERCP/EUS and endoscopic mucosal dissection) and a GI motility lab. Engage in multidisciplinary collaborations in areas such as lung transplant/pulmonology, neurology and movement disorders, bariatric and obesity, fatty liver, pelvic floor, pancreatitis, and diabetes. Participation in research and clinical trials in areas including Motility, Pancreatic Diseases, GI malignancy, IBD, obesity, gut microbiome, and related topics; collaborators with NIH-funded trials. Supervision and education responsibilities for fellows, residents, and medical students as part of the division's training program. Academic appointment commensurate with experience. Qualifications
Completion of Internal Medicine Residency. Completion of Gastroenterology Fellowship. Board Certified or Board Eligible in Gastroenterology. Board Certified in Internal Medicine. Florida Medical License. Preferred Qualifications
