Assistant Professor of Statistics – Tenure Track

The Department of Mathematics and Statistics at Villanova University invites applications for two tenure track positions in Statistics with the rank of Assistant Professor. The positions begin in August 2026. The teaching load is 12 credits for the first year, with a standard load of 15 credits per year thereafter. Candidates from all areas of Statistics, including Biostatistics and Data Science, are invited to apply. Join a dynamic group of 12 statisticians with varied research interests! Our statistics program features a well-established MS in Applied Statistics and Data Science, an undergraduate major, and an undergraduate minor. Graduates of our program pursue careers in the pharmaceutical and healthcare industries as well as in business, consulting, and education. Some also pursue a Ph.D. in Statistics or a related field. Villanova values excellence in teaching, supporting it through teaching development and grant opportunities as well as small class sizes. Teach courses in Statistics and/or Data Science at the introductory, upper division, and graduate levels. Establish and maintain a productive research program in your area of expertise. Be an active member of the department, the Villanova community, and the profession. Minimum Qualifications:

Ph.D. in Statistics or a related field (or near completion). Commitment to excellence in both teaching and research. Application Instructions:
