Overview
A position is available for a bioanalytical bench scientist to join a bioanalytical mass spectrometry laboratory in Pfizer’s Pharmacokinetics, Dynamics, and Metabolism department. This lab-based role will focus on supporting Antibody Drug Conjugate (ADC) related bioanalytical activities. This includes LC-MS based assay development for ADCs, study sample analysis, data reporting, LC-MS instrument operation and maintenance. The successful candidate is detail-oriented and, following training, can operate independently. This position requires demonstrated experience in successfully executing complex bioanalytical procedures. Previous experience in small molecule LCMS assay is desired. Previous experience in handling ADC molecules, immunoanalytical workflows and quantitative LC-MS assay techniques is a plus. We are looking for a scientist passionate about learning and quickly applying new skills to project needs. Responsibilities
Preparation of samples for mass spectrometry analysis Design of experiments in collaboration with colleagues Conduct analytical experiments and method development as needed Identify and exploit new scientific concepts Interpretation and documentation of experimental results Communication of experimental results to team members Maintain high quality record in the electronic lab notebook Qualifications
BS/MS degree in chemistry, biological sciences, biochemistry or related fields (NON-PhD) required (minimum) Bachelors Degree with a minimum of 3+ years of experience OR; Master's Degree with a minimum of 1+ years of experience Experience with LC-MS biological sample preparation involving a multi-step process to isolate, purify, and concentrate the analytes of interest for the LC-MS analysis Experience with the operation of an LC-MS instrument and familiar with related operation software (Analyst, Xcalibur or Skyline) Works well both independently and as part of a team Collaborative skills and effective partnering skills in a matrix environment Strong data organization, analysis, and communication skills ADC experience preferred Location/Schedule
