Pediatric Electrophysiologist

Joe DiMaggio Children’s Hospital Heart Institute is seeking a skilled pediatric electrophysiologist to join our multidisciplinary team. Ideal candidates should be board-certified in pediatric cardiology with at least one additional year of fellowship training in pediatric electrophysiology. The candidate must hold IBHRE (International Board of Heart Rhythm Examination) certification, as well as certification as either a CCDS (Certified Cardiac Device Specialist) or CEPS-P (Certified EP Specialist-Pediatrics), with CEPS-P being preferred. The successful candidate will be a dynamic and experienced pediatric electrophysiologist, proficient in device implantation and catheter ablation, with the ability to contribute new expertise to our programs. The current faculty includes: three surgeons, four interventional cardiologists, three heart failure/transplant cardiologists, five advanced imaging cardiologists, two electrophysiologists, two adult congenital cardiologists, and one inpatient cardiologist. Current volumes include 90-100 EPS/ablation procedures and 25 device implants in the cath lab per year. The workload is anticipated to increase in the next few years with the establishment of an accredited adult congenital heart program. This is a full-time employed position with the multispecialty Memorial Physician Group. About Joe DiMaggio Children's Hospital Joe DiMaggio Children’s Hospital is a 216 bed free-standing children’s hospital in Hollywood, Broward County, Florida located near Fort Lauderdale. The hospital recently underwent a 4-story vertical expansion to double the number of floors and continue to meet its commitment to providing the highest quality and safest care for children in the region. This expansion opened in November 2022 and includes a state-of-the-art Pediatric ICU, a new 20-bed cardiac ICU and step-down unit including new ORs with hybrid capabilities, three catheterization labs and an interventional radiology suite.
