Overview

Seametrics, a TASI Measurement company, is seeking a versatile and hands-on Test Engineer to join as a key member of the product development team. You will support new product development, sustaining engineering, and regulatory product testing. Working with a cross functional design team, the Test Engineer will create and execute environmental, structural, electrical, and firmware test plans for fluid flow and water quality instruments. SEA Washington — Kent, WA Compensation

Pay or shift range: $80,000 USD to $100,000 USD The estimated range is the budgeted amount for this position. Final offers are based on various factors, including skill set, experience, location, qualifications and other job-related reasons. Responsibilities

Develop and implement test plans and procedures for new and existing products. Design and construct test fixtures and equipment needed to complete product testing. Set up and operate measurement equipment such as function generators, oscilloscope, and environmental chambers for testing electromagnetic flowmeters ensuring data integrity. Ensure reliability of products by performing root cause analysis, troubleshooting and diagnosing technical issues, and suggest corrective improvements. Generate reports on test results and provide feedback to project teams. Collaborate with engineering teams to troubleshoot, debug, and resolve issues related to fluid flow metering. May assist in researching updates to regulatory standards to maintain compliance. Maintain a clean, organized, and safety-compliant lab equipment and workspace. Other duties as assigned. Qualifications

Associate’s degree in Engineering Technician Program. 3+ years of electromechanical hardware testing experience. Intermediate skillset in LabVIEW and Python programming. Proficiency with function generators, oscilloscope, and environmental chambers. Excellent written and verbal communication skills. Works well cross functionally with a team. Experience with basic data analytic concepts such as standard deviation, error bands, and repeatability. Microsoft Office – Excel, Word, Outlook, Teams Preferred Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in Electrical or Mechanical Engineering. Knowledge of regulatory standards, especially UL 61010. Familiarity with Electromagnetic Compatibility/Interference (EMC/EMI) requirements Working Conditions

Physical Demands: Can lift up to 50 pounds, sit and stand for extended periods. Visual Demands: Must be able to look at a computer monitor for extended periods. Hazards: May involve exposure to machinery, noise, and other industrial conditions in a manufacturing environment. Use of PPE such as gloves, safety glasses, and ear protection.
