This role supports the development and operations of New Glenn, a single-configuration heavy-lift launch vehicle capable of routinely carrying people and payloads to Earth’s orbit and beyond. Engineered with a reusable first stage and a seven-meter payload fairing, New Glenn is building the road to space. We are looking for someone to apply their avionics hardware technical expertise, natural leadership, organizational skills, and dedication to quality to positively impact the aggressive missions at Blue Origin. As the Avionics PCB Layout Designer within this innovative and diverse team, you will apply a deep understanding of digital, analog, mixed-signal, high-speed, and high-power PCB layout, and design skills for our avionics circuit designs. **Responsibilities:**Collaborate with multi-functional teams including mechanical engineers, electrical engineers, firmware, and software engineers to ensure design requirements are metWork with industry-leading software (e.g.: Altium Designer) to create detailed layout design**Qualifications**: A minimum of 10 years of experience in PCB layout and design.
Experience using industry-leading software such as Altium Designer, Allegro, Eagle PCB, or equivalent. Ability to create detailed schematics and layout designFamiliarity with industry standards and regulations such as IPC-6012 Class 3 Demonstrated knowledge and use of PCB best practices for design, manufacturing, and test, including PCB assembly to IPC Class 3 standards. Ability to create and maintain symbol/footprint libraries.Ability to work well in a fast-paced, high-pressure environmentExperience using and creating electrical design specifications. Ability to earn trust, maintain positive and professional relationships, and strengthen our culture of inclusion**Desired Skills:** Experience with Altium Designer Experience with high current density design
