fast-paced, highly organized clinic

with a same-day pediatric optical (over 4,000 lenses in stock and an in-house finishing lab). Responsibilities Perform comprehensive pediatric and general eye examinations, including visual acuity, refractive errors, and ocular health. Diagnose and manage a wide range of eye conditions and diseases. Prescribe corrective lenses, therapeutic interventions, or medications as needed. Educate patients and parents about eye health, treatment options, and preventive care. Maintain accurate electronic health records in compliance with HIPAA regulations. Collaborate with ophthalmologists and opticians to deliver coordinated, high-quality care. Stay current with the latest advancements in optometry practices and technology. Skills & Qualities Strong clinical and diagnostic skills with attention to detail. Proficiency in EMR systems; familiarity with medical coding. Excellent communication skills with a kid-friendly, compassionate approach. Ability to build trust with parents and patients alike. Comfortable working in a busy, team-driven environment. Sales and counseling ability to recommend appropriate eyewear and vision solutions. Requirements Doctor of Optometry (OD) degree from an accredited program. Valid state license to practice optometry (Texas license or eligibility). Pediatric residency or prior pediatric experience (preferred, but not required).
