Medical Director, Laboratory – Robert Wood Johnson University Hospital-Hamilton, NJ RWJBarnabas Health and Rutgers Robert Wood Johnson Medical School (RWJMS), Department of Pathology and Laboratory Medicine, are seeking a Medical Director for the Laboratory at Robert Wood Johnson University Hospital-Hamilton. This leadership role provides oversight of all anatomic and clinical laboratory services and offers the opportunity to guide operational strategy, ensure regulatory compliance, and mentor staff in a 287-bed community hospital within New Jersey’s largest integrated health care system. The minimum salary for this position if hired to work is $330,000 per year. Posting Summary
The Department of Pathology and Laboratory Medicine at Rutgers RWJMS, in conjunction with Rutgers Health, invites applications for a faculty position at the Assistant Professor or Associate Professor level in the Department of Pathology and Laboratory Medicine, Robert Wood Johnson University Hospital-Hamilton (RWJUH-Hamilton). Responsibilities
The successful candidate will serve as the leader of the pathology laboratory, overseeing all aspects of laboratory operations. Lead all anatomic and clinical laboratory operations at RWJUH-Hamilton Provide leadership, mentorship, and supervision for laboratory staff Collaborate with physicians, clinicians, and hospital leadership to ensure high-quality laboratory services Oversee test validation and compliance with regulatory and accreditation standards, including CAP Participate in clinical consultation, tumor boards, and interdisciplinary care initiatives Support strategic planning and operational improvement initiatives for the laboratory Requirements
MD, DO, or MBBS degree required Board certification or board eligibility in Anatomic and/or Clinical Pathology Eligible for medical licensure in the State of New Jersey Experience in laboratory leadership, CAP-accredited laboratories, or relevant subspecialty is highly desirable Benefits
