What You’ll Do as a Speech Therapist (SLP) Evaluate and treat patients in their homes, focusing on speech, language, voice, and swallowing disorders. Develop and implement customized care plans to meet patients’ communication needs. Collaborate with patients, families, and healthcare teams to ensure optimal outcomes. Educate families and caregivers on strategies to support the patient’s progress.
