We work with children with communication disorders, motor challenges, emotional disorders, language delays, sensory integration issues, autism spectrum disorders, feeding disorders, and social skill challenges. We believe collaboration across disciplines helps tailor the best learning and care plans. We also focus on educating families to become allies in their child's development.
Lumiere Children's Therapy is seeking an exceptional, patient-focused Physical Therapist to join our team. The ideal candidate will have 2-3 years of experience, with a willingness to supervise incoming Physical Therapists and PT Assistants. The role includes working with private clients, preschoolers, and within private schools.
Requirements:
Physical Therapy (PT) Licensure in Illinois
2-3 years of experience
Positive attitude and team player
A belief that your skills can make a lasting impact on the children you serve
Responsibilities:
Support client performance to promote skill development
Select and adapt appropriate treatment models and approaches
Implement interventions to maximize performance
Recommend and train in adaptive equipment use
Provide parent and caregiver education
Monitor and report on progress towards goals
Collect data and document processes
Complete notes and paperwork promptly
Skills:
Proven experience as a physical therapist
Strong knowledge of physical therapy principles and practices
Experience with computer programs and creative media
Familiarity with evaluation tools
Ability to manage diverse patient needs, including autism
Commitment to ongoing learning and professional growth
Professional demeanor
Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
