We are seeking a detail-oriented and results-driven Construction Sales Estimator to join our team. This role is responsible for preparing accurate cost estimates and proposals for construction projects, securing new business, and ensuring profitability through precise forecasting and budgeting. This role requires a strong understanding of construction processes, materials, and labor costs, as well as excellent communication and negotiation skills. Key Responsibilities: Analyze project plans, specifications, and related documents to prepare detailed cost estimates. Collaborate with clients, architects, engineers, and subcontractors to gather essential project information. Prepare comprehensive bid proposals that include detailed breakdowns of costs. Prepare and present competitive bids and proposals to clients. Conduct site visits to assess project scope, conditions, and potential challenges. Source and negotiating pricing with suppliers and subcontractors. Track and manage bid deadlines, submissions, and follow-ups. Work closely with the project manager to align estimates with client expectations and project goals. Maintain and update a database of historical cost data and pricing trends. Identify cost-saving opportunities and value engineering options. Assist in contract negotiations and help to communicate with the project manager and Director of Construction to ensure everything runs smoothly with the project. Qualifications: Proven experience as a Construction Estimator or in a similar role within the construction industry. Strong knowledge of construction processes, materials, methods, and market pricing. Experience in cold calling potential clients to generate leads. Excellent negotiation skills and a proven track record in sales. Proficiency in estimating software (Job Tread or something similar). Excellent analytical, mathematical, and organizational skills. Strong written and verbal communication abilities to effectively convey information. Excellent analytical skills with attention to detail in estimating costs accurately. Ability to read and interpret blueprints, drawings, and technical documents. High attention to detail and accuracy. Preferred Skills : Experience in [residential/commercial/industrial] construction. Familiarity with CRM and project management tools. Ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines. Strong negotiation and client-facing skills. Bachelor’s degree in construction management, Engineering, Business, or a related field (preferred but not required). Competitive salary based on experience.
