Northrop Grumman Space Systems – Launch and Missile Defense Systems has an exciting career opportunity for a Sr Principal Engineer Systems – Systems Integration Engineer (24-487) to join our team of qualified, diverse individuals. This position will be at Schriever Space Force Base, Colorado Springs, CO. Position Overview: The Command and Control, Battle Management, and Communications (C2BMC) program integrates the Missile Defense System. It is a vital operational system that enables the U.S. president, secretary of defense, and combatant commanders to systematically plan ballistic missile defense operations, see the battle develop collectively, and manage designated networked sensors and weapons systems to achieve global and regional mission objectives. Essential Functions: Knowledge of or minimal skill with Systems Integration and System/Software Testing, including virtualized environments

Understanding of the software development process, from requirements to final product deployment

Self-starter with good communication, interpersonal, and problem-solving skills

Able to develop integration plans/procedures from requirements and technical capabilities, monitor integration of test resources, execute detailed integration procedures, analyze results, and present findings

Work effectively with team members and external partners, proficient in Microsoft Office applications

Experience in troubleshooting small to large-scale infrastructure

Author test plan documents and procedures

Create Test Discrepancy Reports to document issues

Assist software development personnel with issue resolution

Develop troubleshooting procedures and work-around documents

Develop and execute detailed test plans and procedures to test C2BMC in an integrated environment

Plan and lead integration tests with external elements and sensors

Review and provide feedback on system specifications and development documents

Attend meetings and represent the Integration team

Create and modify scripts for data extraction, perform data analysis, troubleshoot issues, document results, and prepare test status documentation

The ability to travel is a requirement

Basic Qualifications: An active Secret clearance is required with the ability to obtain Top Secret clearance

Bachelor’s degree in

STEM

Engineering, Computer Science, or related technical discipline with 8 years experience, or a Master’s degree with 6 years experience

DoD 8140 certification at

IAT Level II or higher

(Security+, GSEC, SCNP, SSCP, CISSP, CISA, GSE, SCNA) is required

Hands-on skill with

LINUX/UNIX

and

Windows

operating systems

Knowledge of or practical experience with industry or DoD test methodologies and terminology

High proficiency with: VMware

Virtual servers

UNIX

Shell Scripting

Detailed knowledge of Windows and Unix environments

Working knowledge in test plan/procedure preparation and test execution

Integration of system components within an integrated test environment

Working knowledge of system design and overall integration into an operational environment

Preferred Qualifications: Current and active Top Secret clearance is highly desired

Knowledge of or practical experience with industry or DoD test methodologies and terminology

Experience with operational systems (e.g.,

Aegis, Patriot ), development systems (e.g.,

GMD, THAAD, Aegis ), and statistical analysis packages is a plus
