About the Role

We are seeking a highly seasoned Senior Red Hat OpenShift Engineer with extensive experience supporting mission-critical platforms in the financial markets sector. The ideal candidate will bring over 10 years of expertise in enterprise Linux environments, cloud-native solutions, and hybrid infrastructure. This role requires deep technical knowledge, a proven ability to operate in high-pressure, low-latency environments, and the versatility to support both on-premises and cloud-based systems. Key Responsibilities

OpenShift & Kubernetes: Architect, deploy, and maintain highly available Red Hat OpenShift clusters for production trading and financial applications. Linux Engineering: Provide advanced support for Red Hat Enterprise Linux (RHEL) systems, including kernel tuning, performance optimization, patching, and lifecycle management. Protocols & Infrastructure Services: Configure and troubleshoot authentication protocols (LDAP, Kerberos, SSSD); manage name resolution services (DNS, BIND, CoreDNS); maintain time synchronization across distributed systems (NTP, Chrony, PTP). Cloud Expertise: Design and manage workloads in AWS and Azure, with strong knowledge of security, networking, and storage integration. Implement hybrid and multi-cloud strategies to meet enterprise compliance and resilience requirements. Enterprise Hardware & Storage: Support and optimize infrastructure running on Dell PowerEdge servers. Manage and troubleshoot enterprise storage platforms for performance, replication, and capacity planning. Automation & CI/CD: Develop and maintain automation frameworks using Ansible, Helm, and GitOps methodologies to streamline deployments and operations. Resilience & Compliance: Ensure systems meet financial industry standards for security, availability, and regulatory compliance. Collaboration: Work closely with developers, traders, and infrastructure teams to deliver reliable, low-latency solutions. Qualifications

10+ years of professional experience in Linux engineering and system administration. 5+ years of hands-on experience with Red Hat OpenShift and or Kubernetes in production. Optimization and Performance focus engineering and design. Design once, use many design logic. Strong background in financial services or capital markets IT environments. Proven expertise with AWS and Azure infrastructure services. Advanced knowledge of enterprise server hardware (Dell PowerEdge) and enterprise storage systems (Dell EMC). In-depth understanding of authentication, DNS, and time synchronization protocols in complex environments. Proficiency in automation and scripting (Ansible, Terraform, Pulumi, Bash, Python, or similar). Strong communication skills with the ability to explain complex technical issues to non-technical stakeholders. Preferred Certifications

Red Hat Certified Engineer (RHCE) or OpenShift Administrator/Architect certification. AWS Certified Solutions Architect or Azure Solutions Architect Expert. Kubernetes Certified Administrator (CKA) or Kubernetes Certified Security Specialist (CKS). Salary

$200,000 - $250,000 a year
