The Maintenance and Engineering Manager will report to the Plant Manager. The Maintenance and Engineering Manager optimizes efficiencies through internal and external support. Communicate and engage with various departments and managers to achieve objectives while maintaining safety and compliance. Support cost-effective, long-term capital investments to accelerate growth within the company. Essential Job duties and Responsibilities:

Lead plant maintenance team and engineering/technical services areas.

Manage Maintenance Supervisor. Manage Process Engineer. Complete annual PCMs for maintenance employees and Process Engineer.

Manage maintenance systems to include repair work orders and preventative maintenance. Oversee critical spares stores inventory. Participate and execute capital planning projects.

Refine project scope with the requestor. Perform design calculations. Estimate Project Costs. Provide construction oversight and management throughout the project. Commission and verify project goals are met.

Work closely with the EH&S Manager to ensure regulatory requirements are maintained. Assist with external, internal, plant-wide, and departmental Environmental Health and Safety audits. Provide resources and technical support for continuous improvement programs in the plant. Other duties as required and directed by the Plant Manager. Qualifications:

Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or a related discipline from an accredited university. Minimum 5 years of experience in manufacturing plant operations and capital projects coordination. Knowledge and experience in chemical manufacturing processes. Exceptional interpersonal skills to effectively communicate and build relationships with multiple internal departments at all organizational levels, external customers, and vendors. Proficient in the use of Microsoft Office products with advanced Excel skills. Must be able to work in the plant environment and on the facility grounds. Must be able to concentrate on details, work under deadline pressures, apply sound logic and judgment, and prioritize tasks and responsibilities. Must be able to focus and multi-task in a busy environment and maintain composure in potentially stressful situations. Maintain effective and professional relationships with executives, staff, customers, vendors, and governmental agencies. Access to and maintenance of confidential and sensitive information. Must undergo and meet company standards for background checks, drug testing, and behavioral assessments. Employee is regularly required to sit, stand, and walk. Ability to verbally communicate both in person and via telephone. Ability to utilize various office equipment, including computer, telephone, and copy machine. Occasional lifting and/or moving of up to 50 pounds.
