Due to expansion, our multi-discipline firm is seeking a Senior Manager or Municipal Engineering. CP Engineers, Architecture & Environmental Services has forty years of experience in site/ civil, water/ wastewater, municipal, MEP and environmental services. Our project portfolio includes private, municipal, county and regional clients; some have been with our firm for three decades. This is a Hybrid Remote role, based in either our Morris or Sussex County offices. For uniquely qualified candidates, 100% Remote from within the NY/NJ/Philadelphia region can be considered. Oversee the planning, design, and execution of municipal projects, including roads and stormwater management. Manage project budgets, schedules, and resources to ensure timely and cost-effective completion. Provide technical leadership and mentorship to engineering staff. Act as a primary point of contact for municipal clients, ensuring strong relationships and high-quality service delivery. Represent municipalities as a municipal or board engineer, attending public meetings and advising local governments on engineering matters. Prepare and review engineering reports, proposals, specifications, and contract documents. Ensure compliance with all local, state, and federal regulations, as well as industry standards. Support business development efforts by identifying opportunities, preparing proposals, and participating in client presentations. Conduct site visits and inspections to monitor project progress and adherence to design specifications. Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering or a related field Professional Engineer (PE) license or ability to obtain one. 10+ years of experience in municipal engineering. Experience serving as a municipal or board engineer, representing towns and attending municipal meetings. Extensive knowledge of municipal infrastructure design, permitting, and construction processes. Strong project management skills, including budgeting, scheduling, and resource allocation. Experience in proposal preparation, client interface, and business development. Excellent communication and client relationship management abilities. Experience with regulatory agencies and permitting processes in New Jersey. Valid driver’s license and ability to travel to project sites and municipal meetings as needed. Hybrid/remote work.
