Supply Chain Coordinator.

As we continue to expand, we are seeking a motivated and experienced Supply Chain Coordinator for manufacturing to join our team.
Job Description: As a Manufacturing Supply Chain Coordinator, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the smooth operation of our manufacturing processes by effectively managing the procurement and planning of materials. You will be responsible for coordinating with suppliers, managing inventory levels, and scheduling production activities to meet customer demand while optimizing costs and efficiency.
Procurement: Source, select, and negotiate with suppliers to obtain the best quality, price, and delivery terms for materials required for production. Maintain relationships with existing suppliers and identify new potential vendors to ensure a diverse and reliable supply chain. Review purchase orders and contracts to ensure accuracy and compliance with company policies and regulations. Inventory Management:
Monitor inventory levels of raw materials, components, and finished goods to ensure adequate stock levels while minimizing excess inventory and carrying costs. Implement inventory control measures such as FIFO, JIT, and safety stock to optimize inventory turnover and minimize stockouts. Production Planning:
Coordinate with cross-functional teams including production, logistics, and quality assurance to ensure timely execution of production plans. Work with suppliers as necessary to accommodate changes in production schedule, material availability, or production constraints. Supplier Relationship Management:
Build and maintain strong relationships with suppliers, fostering open communication and resolving any issues or disputes that may arise. Evaluate supplier performance based on criteria such as quality, delivery reliability, and responsiveness, and implement improvement initiatives as needed. Work closely with suppliers to identify cost-saving opportunities and negotiate favorable terms and pricing agreements. Logistics Responsibilities:
Coordinate inbound logistics to ensure timely receipt of materials and components from domestic and international suppliers. Manage outbound logistics freight bookings and documentation. Liaise with freight forwarders, customs brokers, and transportation providers Track shipments, manage delivery schedules, and resolve transportation issues as they arise. Optimize transportation costs and logistics processes to improve efficiency and reduce delays. Continuous Improvement:
Identify opportunities for process improvements within the procurement and planning functions to enhance efficiency, reduce lead times, and minimize costs. Monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) related to procurement and planning activities and develop action plans to address any deviations from targets. Qualifications
Experience:
Experience in procurement and/or logistics, preferably in a manufacturing environment. Experience with ERP systems Skills:
Strong organizational and time management skills. Good analytical and problem-solving abilities. Effective communication and negotiation skills. Working knowledge of logistics, freight, and customs regulations. Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and other supply chain tools.
