(Job #ES/KG) Exceptional Family Resources is seeking a Direct support professional (DSP) to work with an independent woman with a mild intellectual Disability in Oswego. Responsibilities include but are not limited to accompanying and supporting her during community recreational groups; assisting her in pursuing her hobbies and interests; assisting her with independent living skills in the home and within her community. This will include transportation to medical appointments when needed. Her main priority is her teen daughter and being a good mom... Her current interests are Arts and Crafts like Diamond Art, growing houseplants, going to the movies, volunteering, being social, and swimming. Using her memberships to the Zoo, The Wild and the YMCA. We are looking for a strong individual who is reliable, patient, a good role model and enthusiastic. Someone who can find new experiences try together. Reliable transportation is a must, valid NYS driver's license and a HS diploma/GED are required. Background check, fingerprinting and DMV record check will be conducted prior to hire by the non-profit agency. Schedule: Monday to Friday, 20-30 hours a week. Flexible schedule to be agreed upon with individual. Pay rate: $23 per hour. Background check, fingerprinting and DMV record check will be conducted prior to hire by the non-profit agency.
