About the Position:
McGuire, Wood & Bissette, P.A. has an immediate opening for a Commercial Real Estate Attorney to join its real estate practice group. The candidate must have at least five years of experience in the real estate legal field and is preferred to bring some book of business. A good attitude, excellent communication skills, dedication to client service, and a drive to learn are required. Applicants must be comfortable working with clients directly, as well as working with a team of attorneys, paralegals, and legal assistants to advise and assist clients and property owners in achieving their goals. This position includes advising clients on transactions and other matters related to commercial real estate while exhibiting creative problem solving, the ability to organize and manage multiple files, and an attention to detail. Duties
Build relationships with clients based on trust.
Annual billable hour expectation is a minimum of 1,300, with additional hours dedicated to non-billable goals (e.g. community involvement, professional development, and business development).
Qualifications and Experience
All candidates should be licensed to practice in North Carolina or eligible to waive into the North Carolina Bar.
Graduation from an accredited law school with at least five (5) years of North Carolina legal experience in commercial real estate law.
Detail-oriented and a drive to meet with people.
Excellent communication skills with a high level of attention to detail.
A proactive approach to professional work and relationships.
Experience: Attorney: 5 years (preferred)
