Call Center Representative (remote) - 2nd shift - RI, MA, CT, NY & NJ (56739) Eligible applicants must live within the AAA Northeast footprint to be considered for work from home opportunities. This includes RI, MA, CT, NY & NJ. You will be required to meet specific work from home requirements to support the business needs of AAA, including high speed internet access with minimum internet speed requirements.

Shift: 2nd. Available schedules vary between 12:00pm-12:00am. This job requires a commitment to work a schedule that will include at least one weekend shift, and schedules may flex to support business needs.

What You Will Do

Receives incoming calls from prospective and current members requesting road service; processes requests and gathers required information to provide timely service; answers members' questions and provides information regarding AAA road service products and services; delivers Five Diamond Customer service to encourage member retention, renewal, and new membership sales.

For bilingual roles, all responsibilities must be able to be completed in both English and target language. Take road service calls while being mindful of members’ emotional and physical wellbeing; gather information including membership number, name, phone, e-mail, vehicle description and location, and nature of the problem; utilize department software to ensure efficient dispatch, prioritize calls for safety issues, and research membership status.

Provide information to members on road service policies and procedures. Explain benefits of AAA membership and assist with memberships. Inform members of costs associated with services; advise on other AAA products and services when appropriate (e.g., mobile battery replacement, Premier and PLUS Memberships, car rentals, hotel reservations).

Determine appropriate course of action for each call; assist members in special circumstances; verify membership and process new member applications; refer non-AAANE Club members to the appropriate Club for service.

Track estimated times of arrival (ETAs) and act to resolve long-standing service calls; serve as an interface between Dispatch and members to enhance customer service.

Respond to a wide variety of member inquiries, referring to other departments as needed to ensure customer satisfaction.

Salary range: $19.00 - $20.00 per hour

Qualifications Education High School Diploma or GED Required

Experience Customer Service experience Required or Call Center experience Preferred

Licenses and Certifications If for a bilingual job, must satisfactorily pass a translation assessment (English to target language and target language to English) during pre-hire screening, in accordance with policy Required

Skills Ability to address high volume and challenging situations; listen and communicate effectively by telephone, in writing, or electronically; read maps and use navigation resources; influence customers to take desired actions; build trust and cooperation; apply general rules to specific problems; operate a computer with relevant software; maintain confidentiality. For bilingual roles: verbal and written fluency in English and the target language; facilitate cross-language communication effectively.
