Senior IT Business Analyst at our corporate office in Duncan, SC. This is a remote position based Southeast; frequent in-person business process reviews with our global headquarters in Duncan, SC are required. The position reports to the Application Manager – Great Plains & Services and primarily supports AFL Services businesses in North America. Overview of the Role
The Senior IT Business Analyst will document and understand existing business processes, drive improvements, determine best-fit applications, and deploy software solutions. The role requires facilitation of business process review sessions with stakeholders, documentation of processes, and creation of functional business requirements. Strong communication skills and the ability to establish and maintain relationships with internal stakeholders are essential. The role spans multiple functional areas and software applications; experience in software implementation and project management is required. The candidate should be comfortable with multiple business areas (legal, supply chain, engineering, finance) and with working across different applications. Responsibilities
Business Process Review Sessions + Documentation: Facilitate discovery sessions with stakeholders at all levels; document and analyze processes using Visio and lean principles; assess and decompose complex processes; drive change through business process redesign; document requirements and user stories with acceptance criteria. Project Management & Implementation: Own the execution of software application implementations; engage in vendor research and selection (including MQ analyses); create RFPs, establish vendor relationships, coordinate vendor meetings, groom stories, plan sprints, develop project plans, monitor progress, and communicate status to stakeholders. Testing: Develop and execute test plans to validate process, configuration, enhancements, and patches. Other Responsibilities: Document recurring issues and propose solutions; maintain business process documentation for compliance; help establish team priorities; adhere to AFL environmental, health & safety policies; perform other duties as requested. Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university 10+ years’ experience as a business process analyst 10+ years working in information technology and software application selection and implementation 5+ years of planning experience including project coordination/management, planning and scheduling, and handling multiple deadlines Preferred Applications Experience
