The
Human Resources Coordinator
will partner with the Director of Human Resources and the Operations team to support all Human Resource related services, policies, and programs. The HR Coordinator will most directly be responsible for the start-to-finish recruiting and onboarding processes for hourly production roles, as well as administrative and operational support within the areas of employee engagement, benefits administration, HR system administration, and employee training. Minimum Qualifications Associate’s degree in Human Resources or related field required. Bachelor’s degree preferred. SHRM-CP or PHR certification preferred. Previous experience within a human resources, human services, or recruiting role required. Previous working experience within a manufacturing environment preferred. Proficiency with, or the proven ability to quickly learn, a human resource information system (HRIS) and similar software applications. Proven experience maintaining confidentiality, handling sensitive information, and operating with sound discretion in grey areas. Essential Job Functions Recruiting
Own all recruiting activities for hourly requisitions, including posting open positions, reviewing applications, screening candidates, leading the interview process, partnering with managers to make fair, consistent, and educated hiring decisions, and managing all candidate communications. Ensure the candidate experience is smooth and positive from application to hiring decision. Track and report on key performance metrics as they relate to recruiting activities and recommend process improvements and new strategies to further drive results. Serve as primary point of contact responsible for building and nurturing agency partnerships. Engage with potential candidates and network connections at career fairs, community events, and networking functions.
Onboarding and Offboarding
Own the start-to-finish onboarding process, ensuring an effective and impactful new hire experience. Lead comprehensive new hire orientations, including safety training and plant tours. Collaborate with supervisors and managers to support new hires’ 30/60/90 day training programs. Complete offboarding activities for terminated employees, when necessary.
Employee Engagement
Plan and coordinate employee engagement activities and company events, for office, off-shift production, and remote employees.
Benefits Administration Support
Work with Hana’s benefit broker to process new hire benefit enrollments, and changes in enrollment due to life events. Coordinate annual open enrollment and provide hands-on support throughout process.
System Administration and Data Management
Partner with Operations Leadership to manage attendance, timecard approvals, working schedules, and time off requests. Maintain accurate employee records within HRIS (Paycor) and make updates as needed Support HR functions within Document Control System (QT9). Manage Solon building’s security access badge program.
Other HR and Operational Support
Assist with employee relations issues, incidents, and investigations, as needed. Support employee training initiatives and the implementation of new training programs. Create, update, post, and monitor policies, procedures, notices, flyers and bulletin postings. Help maintain wellness programs, including workplace gym and other recreational facilities. Run key HR data reports for Leadership and Operations teams, as needed.
Other duties as assigned.
