Overview
Temporary Talent Pool (West Los Angeles, Irvine) provides qualified individuals the opportunity to respond to on-call, short-term, temporary assignments across University administration and all five Pepperdine schools. These assignments help familiarize candidates with Pepperdine and are suitable for gaining experience, exploring full-time opportunities, or seeking flexible, varied, and/or short-term work opportunities.
Responsibilities
Engage in temporary assignments, typically administrative support and customer service roles requiring strong computer and communication skills.
Support special projects or substitute for full-time employees who are out of the office for extended periods.
Assist Human Resources in coordinating temporary assignments and participating in the skills assessment process as needed.
Qualifications
Required:
Administrative or general office experience; strong customer service skills; excellent oral and written communication skills; strong computer skills including familiarity with Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint) and Google Workspace; support for the Christian mission of the University. Ability to be productive with minimal training.
Preferred:
Experience with large database systems.
Respect for workplace differences and ability to work effectively with individuals from diverse backgrounds.

Offers of employment are contingent upon successful completion of a criminal, education, and employment screening in compliance with applicable laws and University objectives to ensure safety and prudent hiring decisions. Qualified individuals with criminal histories will be considered in compliance with applicable laws, including the Los Angeles County Fair Chance Ordinance.
This is a temporary, non-exempt position with varying hours per week dependent on University needs.
Expected Pay Range: $17.28 - $21.00 per hour. Actual compensation may vary based on factors such as work experience, market conditions, education/training, and skill level. Pepperdine offers a robust benefits package in addition to base pay.
