Student Program Requirements
Enrolled in the required certification/degree program for the student externship.
Completion of necessary courses and curriculum prior to clinical rotation.
Maintains appropriate licenses, certificates, and permits necessary for the rotation.
Compliance Requirements
Proof of immunity to rubella and rubeola (two doses of MMR vaccine or serological testing).
Proof of varicella immunity (verbal or written history or titers).
Hepatitis B series initiation or declination with serologic testing.
Two-step TB skin test or Quantiferon testing within the last 12 months.
Completion of flu shot during flu season.
American Heart Association (AHA) approved BLS Certification, if applicable.
Completion of HIPAA Compliance Training.
Training in Human Blood and Body Fluid Precautions and Infection Control.
Completion of criminal Background Check.
Proof of a negative drug screen.
