Overview
Education and Outreach Specialist (Community-based) We are seeking a compassionate, caring, and dedicated Education and Outreach Specialist to join our collaborative, multidisciplinary One Community team in the Southern Region of the Trillium service area designed to increase access to care, health literacy, health awareness, and education. This is a community-based position; candidates must reside in Columbus County and be comfortable traveling to the Trillium counties in North Carolina.
What You’ll Do The Education and Outreach Specialist serves as a bridge between community members and providers through outreach and education across the southern Trillium counties on the East coast of North Carolina. You will attend community events (evenings, weekends, and holidays) to support the team. Flexibility is essential to accommodate events outside standard business hours.
Responsibilities include community outreach, education, and collaboration with providers to increase access to care and health literacy.
Qualifications
High School diploma or GED required.
Maintain valid NC driver’s license and auto insurance for personal and agency vehicles utilized for work.
Requirements & Preferences
Community-based experience preferred.
Experience with the unhomed population is a management preference.
Location & Travel This is a community-based position in Columbus County, NC. Travel to the following Trillium counties may be required: New Hanover, Brunswick, Pender, Bladen, Columbus, Hoke, Scotland, Duplin, Sampson, Onslow, Jones, Carteret, and Craven.
Compensation & Benefits Base pay range: $18.00/hr
Hourly rate: $18.00/hr
Mileage reimbursement in addition to hourly pay
