Job Description
We are seeking an experienced Sit-Down Forklift Operator for a position located in Chesapeake. This role involves operating a sit-down forklift to load and unload concrete materials and freight. The position is a balance of forklift operation and manual labor, requiring heavy lifting of materials weighing 50lbs and above.
Responsibilities
Operate a sit-down forklift to move concrete materials and freight.
Load and unload trucks efficiently and safely.
Perform general labor tasks involving heavy lifting and material handling.
Maintain a clean and organized work area.
Essential Skills
Experience in operating a sit-down forklift.
Ability to perform heavy lifting and handle large, bulky items.
Proficiency in loading and unloading trucks.
Strong material handling skills.
Additional Skills & Qualifications
Looking for candidates with stability and trainability.
Flexibility to work extended hours as needed, including some Saturdays.
Strong attendance record and ability to work the assigned shift.
