Client: Very Well-Known Consumer Packaged Goods Company
Role: Associate Brand Manager
Location: Secaucus, NJ - Hybrid - 3 days a week onsite
Salary: $100,000 - $115,000/annually + Benefits
Responsibilities
Product & Portfolio Strategy: Drive the development of new products, product improvements, packaging updates, and line extensions by conducting in-depth 3C/4P analysis and collaborating closely with the R&D team. Assist with SKU portfolio management and inventory oversight for the category.
Market & Sales Analysis: Conduct comprehensive analysis of market research data, POS (Point-of-Sale) information, and key sales drivers (internal shipments and POS data). Develop accurate sales forecasts and provide data-driven insights to the business. Maintain the integrity of the IRI database for the assigned category.
Market Intelligence & Competitiveness: Monitor competitive activity, new product introductions, and category/channel trends to ensure the brand remains competitive. Maintain a solid understanding of overall pet care and market trends shaping the industry.
Commercial Execution & Support: Create insightful and compelling sales presentations to support new product launches and educate internal and external partners on category trends and consumer understanding.
Marketing & Communications: Support the execution of consumer communication and promotional campaigns, including working with the agency of record on 360-degree consumer activation. Assist in developing materials for executing consumer market research studies.
Financial & Cross-Functional Partnership: Develop P&L (Profit and Loss) analyses for new and existing items to evaluate pricing, cost, and trade support changes. Provide support for volume forecasting and the S&OP (Sales & Operations Planning) process. Partner with the Marketing Coordinator on packaging design development and approval.
Project Leadership: Serve as a key resource on cross-functional project teams, providing direction and support to execute plans and manage daily business issues and opportunities.
