09.11.2025 Woods Rogers is seeking to hire an experienced Workers’ Compensation Paralegal to join our dynamic professional liability defense practice group. The ideal candidate will have experience in case management and the ability to support attorneys in all phases of workers’ compensation matters. This is a full-time, non-exempt role in our Norfolk office. The anticipated schedule for this position is Monday – Friday, 8:00AM – 5:00 PM. Firm Overview

Previous experience working as a paralegal in a professional liability defense practice, with demonstrated proficiency managing workers’ compensation case files from intake through resolution. Strong communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to effectively interact with clients and colleagues. Exceptional organizational skills and attention to detail, with the ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines. High level of discretion and confidentiality in handling sensitive client information. Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite, specifically with Microsoft Word and Microsoft Outlook. Preferred Qualifications

Minimum of three (3) years of experience as a paralegal, with a strong focus on workers’ compensation. Paralegal Certificate. Responsibilities

Draft and proof legal documents such as pleadings, settlement documents, and other correspondence. Assist in gathering, reviewing, and summarizing medical records. Prepare exhibits and case summaries. Support attorneys with hearing preparation. File documents with appropriate Workers’ Compensation Commissioners. Manage calendars, track deadlines, and coordinate depositions. Communicate with clients, medical providers, and other parties as needed. Assist attorneys with other administrative tasks as needed. Enter billable time into the firm’s timekeeping system. All other duties and responsibilities as assigned. Benefits Include
