This individual will play a critical role in accelerating business development efforts within the commercial and industrial lighting space, with a focus on relationship-driven growth. Focus

Develop, nurture, and grow relationships with commercial and residential electrical contractors and regional lighting distributors

Identify and execute strategies to capture new business opportunities within target accounts

Conduct product presentations, in-field demonstrations, and solution-based selling to contractor and distributor partners

Provide timely and consultative support around product performance, application fit, and technical specifications

Collaborate cross-functionally with internal sales, operations, and marketing teams to meet territory growth goals

Monitor local market trends and competitor activity to maintain a competitive edge

Represent the brand at local trade shows, distributor counter days, and industry networking events

Deliver clear, impactful sales presentations and contribute to go-to-market strategy development

Skill Set

3+ years of experience in outside sales, ideally with a background in the electrical or lighting industry

Established relationships with contractors and distributors within the construction or building materials sector is highly preferred

Strong understanding of the contractor sales process and distributor partnership models

Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to influence decision-makers at all levels

Proficiency in managing a sales funnel and utilizing CRM platforms for tracking pipeline activity

Highly self-motivated, results-driven, and able to work independently within a defined territory

Bachelor's degree in business, marketing, or a related field preferred

Must be based in the Indianapolis area and open to limited regional travel
