Overview
Creative Risk Solutions is seeking an experienced Workers’ Compensation Claims Specialist with jurisdictional expertise in Utah, Idaho, Colorado, and Arizona. This role is focused on delivering high-quality claims handling—investigating, evaluating, and resolving claims with precision, care, and CRS.
Responsibilities
Receives, gathers, and accurately transmits workers’ compensation information to the company from communications with the insured, claimants, and internal staff in a timely manner.
Investigates, evaluates, and resolves lost time workers’ compensation claims, including litigated claims.
Mediates situations as they arise between the insured and the insurance company, with little to no support from leadership, including researching coverage issues.
Enters and maintains accurate information in the computer system during the claim process, including final settlement information.
Generates checks for indemnity and medical payments daily.
Develops and monitors consistency in procedural matters of claims handling processes within CRS.
Willingness to become licensed if required in the jurisdiction where claims are handled.
Qualifications
Education: High school diploma; college degree preferred. Technical designations encouraged, such as AIC and CPCU.
Experience: 3–5 years of claims experience with a strong background in workers’ compensation claims handling.
Licensing: Active state-specific workers’ compensation license or the ability to acquire license within three months of hire. Jurisdictional expertise and required licensing in UT, ID, CO, AZ.
Skills: Proficient knowledge of workers’ compensation insurance coverage and claims processing procedures. Ability to adjudicate lost-time claims across multiple jurisdictions and quickly learn and adapt to various software programs.
Technical competencies: Strong grasp of claims principles, practices, and insurance coverage interpretation; contribute to workflows and adhere to compliance requirements; prioritize problem-solving, foster relationships, and collaborate to deliver client-focused outcomes.

The salary range for this role is $57,000–$98,000. Compensation is based on factors including education, experience, and industry certifications.
