About This Role:
The Human Resources Analyst plays a crucial role in ensuring the smooth operation of our Human Resources department. This role includes supporting the Recruiting Analyst and Human Resources Manager by managing and tracking special leave, performance management data and contributing to special projects. Attention to detail and strong organizational skills are key to making our administrative processes effective. With great attention to detail and outstanding organizational skills, this role is essential to our administrative processes. The ability to multitask and adapt to changing priorities not only contributes to the team's success but also fosters a collaborative and productive work environment. We are seeking a highly motivated and dynamic candidate with experience in local government and human resources. This individual should possess a deep passion for public service and demonstrate a strong ability to cultivate effective and inclusive workplace cultures. High school diploma or G.E.D. and 4 years of professional Human Resources experience handling special leave such as Family Medical Leave and Reasonable Accommodations, and performance management. Preferences:
5 or more years of Human Resources experience with special leave and performance management, utilizing Human Resources Information Systems (HRIS) and providing Human Resources support. Highly skilled in utilizing Microsoft Office Suite (Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint). Demonstrates exceptional organizational and time management abilities. Outstanding communication and interpersonal skills to foster positive relationships and collaboration at all levels. Possess strong attention to detail and effective problem-solving skills. Committed to maintaining confidentiality and adept at handling sensitive information. Special Requirements (if applicable):
All DSS staff are required to provide emergency human services work, including staffing emergency shelters in the event of a community disaster. Candidates must pass criminal history, child protective services, and DMV background checks. Resource/foster parents for youth in the Prince William foster-care program may not be employed by the Prince William Department of Social Services. Resource/foster parents for youth from other localities are welcome to apply. Staff in this position must possess a valid driver’s license to perform this work. Staff in this position may periodically be eligible to telework but will be required to report to the office intermittently. Telework eligibility is subject to change as business needs warrant; there is no guarantee of telework. Work Schedule:
37.5 hours per week. Monday through Friday, 8:30 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. This is a telework-eligible role that may revert to in-office scheduling if business needs change. Hiring Salary Range:
