$65,000.00/yr - $82,000.00/yr

Overview The incumbent serves as an internal advisor/consultant to designated operating units on Employee Relations matters. The incumbent also assists the Employee Relations Manager in developing, implementing and overseeing the Company’s Employee Relations strategies. Specific responsibilities include investigating and documenting allegations of discrimination, harassment, retaliation and other violations of Company policy; drafting and cataloging disciplinary documents; providing guidance and counsel to management regarding issues pertaining to unlawful discrimination, sexual harassment, FMLA, ADA, and other employment laws as well as issues pertaining to Company policies and procedures; and developing strong relationships with internal customers.

Responsibilities

Investigate and document allegations of discrimination, harassment, retaliation and other violations of Company policy.

Draft and catalog disciplinary documents; provide guidance and counsel to management on unlawful discrimination, sexual harassment, FMLA, ADA, and other employment laws and company policies.

Develop strong relationships with internal customers and advise designated operating units on Employee Relations matters.

Support investigations, conflict resolution, and training on Company policies and procedures under the supervision of the Employee Relations Manager.

Review leaves of absence cases to maintain compliance with FMLA, ADA, Workers’ Compensation, etc.

Coordinate and conduct internal investigations regarding employee issues and complaints; maintain a case log and create investigatory documentation.

Facilitate training on policies such as Performance Management, Internal Investigations, ADA, and related topics.

Review circumstances surrounding involuntary terminations and provide recommendations to department management.

Participate in special projects/initiatives and respond to unemployment claims and PRIA requests.

Conduct exit interviews and surveys; perform other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

Minimum Requirements

Combination of Education and Experience will be considered. Must be authorized to work in the US as defined by the Immigration Act of 1986. Must pass a Criminal Background Check.

Education: Bachelor’s Degree in Human Resources.

Years of Experience: Minimum four (4) years of experience in Human Resources with at least two (2) years in Employee Relations; minimum four (4) years of experience in conducting and solving internal investigations.

Must pass a Criminal Background Check.

Autonomy: demonstrate independent judgment and discretion; make recommendations to resolve complex issues within department authority.

Regulatory: identify non-compliance or violations of laws, regulations, or company policies; proactively resolve issues during investigations.

Excellent interpersonal, verbal and written communication skills.

Strong customer service focus for internal corporate customers.

Ability to handle sensitive and confidential information with professionalism and integrity.

Superior problem solving, conflict resolution, judgment, and influencing skills.

High initiative and attention to detail; strong multi-tasking and prioritization abilities.

Maintains a professional demeanor aligned with Allegiant standards; fosters productive liaisons between employees and management.

Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite; knowledge/experience with HRIS and Ultimate Software.

PHR or SPHR certification is preferred; experience or understanding of working with unions is a plus.

Availability to travel as needed.

Job Duties

Level II – Demonstrate understanding and support of the People Services Culture in interactions with customers.

Assist the Employee Relations Manager with investigations, conflict resolution, and training on Company policies and procedures.

Coordinate and conduct internal investigations; maintain a case log and create investigatory documentation.

Provide training regarding unlawful discrimination, harassment, workplace violence and key Company policies and procedures.

Review leave of absence cases to ensure compliance with applicable laws and policies.

Participate in trainings on topics such as Performance Management and ADA.

Review circumstances surrounding involuntary terminations and provide recommendations to management.

Participate in special projects/initiatives and respond to unemployment claims and related requests.

Conduct exit interviews and surveys.

Other duties as assigned.
