The role oversees the administration of health and welfare plans in accordance with operative plan documents and federal law, requiring thorough knowledge of all welfare plans. Responsibilities include interpreting plan provisions, resolving participant inquiries, developing plan communications, and handling highly personal, confidential information in a limited access environment. Minimum Qualifications

High School Diploma Bachelor's Degree preferred in Business, HR, or related field 5 years of job-related experience with a degree or 9 years without Experience with administration of employee benefit plans, especially Health & Welfare, life, FSA, & HSA Knowledge of federal & statutory laws including ERISA, FLSA, FMLA, COBRA, EEO, ADA, ACA, & HIPAA Customer service experience related to benefits administration Excellent written and verbal communication skills High level of customer service, empathetic communication, and ability to manage escalated requests Ability to provide timely information, follow-up, and demonstrate diligence and quality Analytical and critical thinking skills Ability to build effective relationships with diplomacy and tact Job Duties

Responds to confidential inquiries, interprets plan provisions, and develops responses for plan participants. Acts as a liaison to employees, managers, HR professionals, and other stakeholders. Resolves claims issues with benefit plan carriers and consultants. Assists in administering policies related to various benefit plans, coordinates claims processing, and facilitates new hire benefits orientation. Investigates and drafts responses to benefit appeals, maintains administrative records, and communicates with the Records Management team. Researches industry best practices, develops employee communications, and consults with internal experts on technical issues. Designs benefit forms, brochures, and presentations, and conducts analytical projects and surveys as assigned. Additional responsibilities include developing presentations, conducting audits, and managing site-specific tasks. The role requires discretion, analytical skills, and the ability to handle sensitive information.
