Save Job

Are you driven to be a voice for animals and support them during their most vulnerable moments? At Humane Colorado, we’ve been standing up for animals for over 115 years — working to end pet homelessness and suffering with compassion, expertise, and unwavering commitment. As the largest community-based animal welfare organization in the region, we care for more than 20,000 homeless pets and horses each year across four shelter facilities and serve as a national leader in animal sheltering.

We’re currently seeking a compassionate, detail-oriented, and emotionally resilient team member to join our Intake & Evaluation team. In this essential role, you’ll provide empathetic support to patrons during animal relinquishments, assess incoming animals for health and behavior, and play a vital part in determining the next steps in each animal’s journey. This is hands-on, impactful work that directly supports our mission to provide safe, humane care — even in the most challenging situations.

If you’re passionate about animal welfare, calm under pressure, and committed to helping animals and people alike, we invite you to apply and be part of a team that makes a difference every single day.
