Assistant Property Manager (Seattle, WA)
Works hand in hand with Property Manager and Compliance Coordinator on site for an affordable housing community, including leasing, resident services, compliance, and finances.
Ideal candidate will have strong attention to detail, good time management, and confident working with a vulnerable population with a focus on helping the community.
Manage resident relations, including move-in/ move-outs, renewals, rule enforcement, eviction prevention, and conflict resolution.
Handle financial management: rent collection, deposits, payables, vendor coordination, reporting, and budget adherence.
Minimum qualifications:
2+ years as a leasing consultant with strong experience with funding layers.
MUST have versed experience with layers of funding:
Tax Credit, LIHTC, HUD programs, Section 8, Vouchers, WA State Housing Trust Fund, etc.
Ensure compliance with Fair Housing, LIHTC, and funder requirements through certifications, audits, and accurate tenant files.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office and property management software (Boston Post preferred); strong communication and organizational skills; valid driver’s license and reliable transportation; knowledge of Fair Housing and WA landlord-tenant law; ability to work effectively with diverse, at-risk populations.
