Accounting Manager – Senior Accountant – Sr. Accountant– CPA – C.P.A. – Certified Public Accountant – General Ledger – G/L – G.L. – GL – Audit Are you an Accounting Manager or experienced Senior Accountant with supervisory experience who has strong knowledge of US GAAP and GL accounting, and have worked in high growth startup organizations? If so, then we are working on an Accounting Manager opportunity that might be a good match for you. A high growth startup entertainment company in LA is looking for an Accounting Manager to join their team. Reporting to the Controller, the Accounting Manager will be responsible for owning the GL, managing staff, and setting up the first-year audit (amongst many other things). The Accounting Manager will need to be able to be nimble, switch gears quickly, and be able to keep pace within a fast-moving startup. What do you need for this Accounting Manager role? Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting or related field 5+ years of accounting experience Must have public accounting experience and/OR be an active CPA Advanced Excel Strong knowledge of US GAAP What will you do in this Accounting Manager role? Oversee GL and accounting operations team members Own month-end close and financial reporting Create financial statements and conduct variance analysis Prepare and review journal entries and account reconciliations Interact with other business departments Amend and create new internal controls Provide recommendations for new processes Act as the liaison between the CPA firm during the financial statement audit and during tax season as well What is in this Accounting Manager role for me?
