This pivotal role is designed for a seasoned professional capable of enhancing our financial performance and operational efficiency. The ideal candidate will bring a strategic mindset, rigorous analytical skills, and a hands-on approach to financial management and reporting. Responsibilities
Objectives of this role Provide comprehensive financial updates to senior controller by evaluating, analyzing, and reporting appropriate data points. Guide financial decisions by applying company policies and procedures to current economic landscape. Develop, implement, and maintain financial controls and guidelines. Achieve budgeting goals with proper scheduling, analysis, and corrective actions. Support short- and long-term operational strategies. Provide financial support to restructuring process. Develop financial reporting. Manage audit and tax preparation with public accounting partners. Responsibilities Implement consistent accounting policies, practices, and procedures across all programs, adhering to national and local legal standards while remaining knowledgeable of proposed legislation. Manage consolidation and financial reporting. Develop and enforce internal controls to maximize protection of company assets, policies, procedures, and workflows. Establish (in coordination with Group CFO) financial and operating benchmarks, budgets, program monitoring, and reporting standards on biweekly, monthly, and annual basis. Oversee and support accounting team with dynamic leadership that creates an environment of trust and productivity. Required skills and qualifications
3-5 years of professional accounting experience Experience with US GAAP Working knowledge of national and local tax regulations and compliance reporting Experience in streamlining accounting processes. Exemplary history of financial project management Preferred skills and qualifications
Bachelor’s degree (or equivalent) in accounting or finance Five or more years of experience as a senior-level accounting or finance manager Experience with companies of $25-$75M revenues, or startups. Professional certification, such as CPA (certified public accountant) or CA (chartered accountant) desired Public Accounting Experience a plus Determining compensation for this role (and others) at Vaco/Highspring depends upon a wide array of factors including but not limited to the individual’s skill sets, experience and training, licensure and certifications, office location and other geographic considerations, as well as other business and organizational needs. With that said, as required by local law in geographies that require salary range disclosure, Vaco/Highspring notes the salary range for the role is noted in this job posting. The individual may also be eligible for discretionary bonuses, and can participate in medical, dental, and vision benefits as well as the company’s 401(k) retirement plan.
